We're proud to have Bart Robley wearing Drum Star Wear in his new instructional DVD.Bart Robley is a true renaissance man... touring drummer, session drummer, teacher, and author / columnist. A Colorado native, Robley moved to Southern California in the '80s and quickly established himself as a professional in several projects before forming metal band, War Crime with ex-Maltese guitarist Steven Cenker. The band was most popular in Europe, but garnered much interest locally, and their playing caught the attention of country / southern rock mainstay Sam Morrison.
Morrison was looking to re-vamp the southern rock sound, and Robley was the cornerstone of that new sound. Robley's style is uniquely heavy but versatile, and speaks deeply of his influences, which range from John Bonham to Tommy Aldridge, Greg Bissonette, and Carmine Appice. The Sam Morrison Band is now taking southern rock to a whole new young audience, while continuing to please longtime southern rock fans at concerts throughout the States. Robley continues to record and tour with both the Sam Morrison Band and their side project Turn The Page, which has just released an entire album of the biggest hits from Bob Seger for Michael Vail Blum's Titan Tribute Media.
In addtion, Robley is a drum teacher, columnist for Classic Drummer Magazine, and has just released his book and instructional DVD "School of Hard Rocks" for Centerstream / Hal Leonard Publishing.
